One deck to study on the go.
Mekuru imports an Anki .apkg export and turns it into a single deck with a single daily count. No deck manager, no card editor, no account, no scheduler settings to tune.

How it works
- 01
Import
Share an Anki
.apkgfile to Mekuru from Files, Mail, or any app. Parsing happens on your iPhone. - 02
Review
One number tells you what is due. Flip a card, grade it again, hard, good, or easy. The session ends when the number reaches zero.
- 03
Re-import
Import a newer export of the same deck and Mekuru matches cards it already knows. Review history for matched cards is untouched.
Help & FAQ
- What file does Mekuru import?
- An Anki
.apkgexport. Share it to Mekuru from Files, Mail, or any app that can share a file. Nothing is uploaded — the file is parsed on your iPhone. - Why can I only have one deck?
- Mekuru is built with a very simple usecase in mind - to replace an ever growing deck of physical flashcards to study on the go. There may be more features added in the future based on feedback.
- My import says cards are missing.
- Those cards are in your Mekuru deck but not in the new file. Mekuru asks once whether to keep or drop them, and the choice applies to all of them. Review history for matched cards is untouched.
- Does Mekuru sync with Anki or AnkiWeb?
- No. There is no account and no sync. Progress lives on the device that did the reviewing; re-importing a newer export is how you bring changes in.
- Can I edit or add cards?
- No. Editing happens in the flashcard deck builder, then you re-import. Mekuru has no card editor by design (yet).
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete the app. Everything Mekuru stores — your deck, your review history, your one setting — is removed with it. There is no server copy.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Mekuru is free, with no in-app purchases, no subscription, and no ads.
- Something is broken.
- Email support with your iPhone model, iOS version, Mekuru version, and the file if an import failed. See the bug report list below.

Privacy policy
- What Mekuru collects
- Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, and no crash reporting service.
- Where your deck lives
- The imported deck, your review history, and your daily-new-cards setting are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud device backup is on, they are included in that backup under Apple's terms.
- Network use
- Mekuru does not send your cards or your progress anywhere. Import and review work with the device offline.
- Third parties
- No data is shared or sold, because none is collected. Mekuru contains no third-party trackers.
- Children
- Mekuru collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
- Changes
- If this policy changes, the date above changes with it and the previous text is replaced on this page.
Questions about this policy, or a request to access or delete data held about you, go to support@noahotsuka.com. Because Mekuru holds no data off your device, most such requests are answered by explaining that deleting the app deletes everything.
